    John Rees about bus services.November 10, 2009 @ 9:48am
John wrote a letter to the Editor of the Chronicle (Thursday Nov 5th) pointing out that while he waited for 30 minutes for a bus to Larkhall, ten busses for the University went through the bus stop opposite the Guildhall. Some were full others less so and one with only three passengers.

You have to read the letter to get the full thrust of his argument but I told him I live on Bathwick Hill so I benefit from the frequency of the service!

My daughter told me that there is a war going on between the Orange busses and the Blue busses. The latter have cheaper fares and I suspect that First are trying to choke off the Blue bus service - as they have done on other routes in the past - by throwing all the resources they can at the route. This might explain how when I caught a blue bus on Friday it waited to collect more passengers after the queue had boarded!

    I must tell John!
